Violence

Violence is the use of physical force against another person. We are living in the time of increasing violence. Actions are the loudest expression of thoughts.

Violence destroys the moral fabric of humanity, trust and compassion. We built more weapons than toys, raised more soldiers than teachers. This may be the side effect of violence in society today.

Law becomes an instrument of control, not justice. According to me, law is against the crime, not the individual. But criminals are not responsible for their crimes; they inherit that tendency.

If a man committed rape, it is because of lack of guidance. So punishing anybody for crime is not enough because he needs our sympathy, love and help. Sometimes it is due to their overactive hormones. They need meditation to be taught to calm down.

We can transform people who have been victims of violent forces. There is no division in sky, but people create distinction out of their own mind and separate mankind. It breeds violence.

Sometimes people commit crime because they use it as a shortcut of happiness. Non-violence is a powerful weapon which cuts without wounding. This is the greatest force of love and sympathy which can beat violence.

This is the nature of man. Violence towards self is also very dangerous. When a person does not meet his demands, he tortures himself; the result is suicide, which is increasing dangerously in these days.

Violence is only the battle between good and evil forces. Violence cannot be treated with violence. Transformation of stony heart is only the solution of violence.

In my vision, the court will not consist of law experts. They will consist of people who understand human nature, so they can break the madness of violence.

Non-violence is true liberation. Violence takes away your peace and happiness. The five forms of violence come from lust, anger, greed, ego and attachment. It is also a kind of violence when we use sharp words. Jealousy is also a kind of violence.

When all violence comes to an end, there is a joy. When you call yourself an Indian, Muslim, Christian or anything else, you are being violent because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind.

So we can say violence exists in every human being.
